Memorial Gardens
Old Colony Burial Ground
Granville,Ohio
The cemetery is located on South Main Street at what was the southern edge of the village as it was platted in 1805 and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
There are about 2000 burials here but only about 928 are still legible.  Most of the stones are made of soft sandstone.
Just inside the pedestrian gate at the northwest corner are printed directions for two self-guided walking tours of the cemetery. There are numerous Revolutionary War and War of 1812 veterans, with a handful of Civil War veterans.
